- [ ] Utility bills — water and electricity accounts.
- [ ] Loan details — if the property is mortgaged, for redemption at the deed.
- [ ] Ground rent details, if any — see ground rent.
- [ ] Inheritance documents, if inherited — see inheriting property.
- [ ] Lease and inventory, if let.
- [ ] Power of attorney, if someone will sign for you.
Why it matters
Buyers, banks and notaries all ask for these. Having them ready shortens the time between the promise of sale and the deed, and avoids surprises that cost you negotiating power.
