Attard is the largest of the Three Villages — with Balzan and Lija — and one of the most sought-after places to live in central Malta. It is green by Maltese standards, residential, and close to almost everything.
The town
San Anton Palace, built by the Knights in the 1620s–30s as a summer residence for Grand Master Antoine de Paule, is today the official residence of the President of Malta. Its botanic San Anton Gardens have been open to the public since 1882. To the west lies Ta’ Qali, once an RAF airfield and now a national park, the National Stadium and the Ta’ Qali Crafts Village.
